Gwyneth Paltrow: the inventor of yoga

Gwyneth Paltrow is the mother of yoga. Approximately 5000 years ago, she invented it.

If not she is, the whole of humankind is at a great loss.

The Indus-Saraswati -Valley people got their training from her. The people of Vedic era recorded her invention.

Sage Patanjali was a disciple of her. He wrote a great book called Yoga-Sutra with her blessings.

Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Bhagavat Gita, Shiva Samhita, and many more yoga treatises were created from the lectures she delivered on various occasions.

During the 1890s, Swami Vivekananda traveled America in praise of her and spoke her teachings in many lectures he delivered. The most important of them was the sequence of lectures he delivered in the conference of World Religions.

Earlier during the 20th Century, her official ambassador, Dr.Paul Brenton traveled to India and disseminate the knowledge of yoga in every nook and corner.

Being allured, many more Indian personalities like BKS Iyengar, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Sivananda, Swami Kuvalayananda, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi got initiated by her.

It is not out of subject here to mention that Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, and Sufism got their doctrines formulated based on her teachings only.

She founded a yoga university in Rishikesh where the whole world is going for yoga study.

The real story is...

She told WSJ magazine: “Forgive me if this comes out wrong, but I went to do a yoga class in L.A. recently and the 22-year-old girl behind the counter was like, ‘Have you ever done yoga before?’ And literally, I turned to my friend, and I was like, ‘You have this job because I’ve done yoga..."

She says. “I remember when I started doing yoga and people were like, ‘What is yoga? She’s a witch. She’s a freak.’ ’’
